Drunk Allen in pink hair shock

Lily Allen has apologised for her drunken appearance at a London Awards ceremony, where she shocked onlookers by sporting a bright pink home-made haircut.

The Smile singer showed off the shocking new hairdo at Tueday's Glamour Women of the Year Awards, where she won the Editor's Special award in recognition of her career as a singer, TV presenter and style queen.

As well as debuting her new hair colour at the event, Lily shocked onlookers by wearing a pale pink dress decorated with 'Bambis' - the baby deer immortalised in the Disney film of the same name - with their throats slit.

Introducing Lily at the event in London’s Berkeley Square Gardens, Glamour magazine editor Jo Elvin said: "With reams of column inches to match her considerable talents, no Women of the Year line-up could be complete without the one and only Lily Allen."

Commenting on her new hair colour, Lily said: "I did it myself in the bathroom. I’m happy with it."

Lily celebrated her win with numerous drinks, and was seen later in the evening being propped up by her music producer friend Mark Ronson.

The worse-for-wear star eventually had to be carried out.

Writing on her MySpace blog, Lily said: "Last time I wrote here, I was defending my honour and dignity, explaining my innocence and also outrage at the press for insinuating my behaviour (sunbathing topless while on holiday) was embarrassing.

"This time I'm putting my hands up, I got very drunk last night, too drunk. It's not cool getting that drunk, I feel awful ... Kids, drink responsibly or you'll end up looking like this, not pretty!

"Was quite fun though, from what I can remember."

The Spice Girls were named Band of the Year at the awards after their triumphant comeback world tour earlier this year.

Geri, Emma Bunton and Mel B were all present to collect their accolade.

Other winners included Kate Beckinsale who was named Actress of the Year and Kate Moss who won Entrepreneur of the Year for her Topshop fashion range.

Ronson was the lone male winner - he picked up the coveted Man of the Year award, and attended the event with his model girlfriend Daisy Lowe.

The awards are voted for by the readers of Britain’s Glamour magazine.
